So Ji-sub is dad and Agent Kim Reactivated

Operation rescue is now just days away on SBS, with So Ji-sub (Mercy for None) reporting to duty as Agent Kim Reactivated, alongside Choi Dae-hoon (The WONDERfools) and Yoon Kyung-ho (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier) in the revenge-action’s latest teasers and stills.
In his past life, our titular hero was known by the code name 66 (So Ji-sub), lurking in the shadows of North and South Korea as an elusive double agent. That is, until his wife’s early death, when he went off-grid to prioritize raising their daughter and conceals himself as a civilian known as ‟Manager Kim” or ‟Min-ji’s Dad” to the neighbors.
Kim of course is doing his best to nurture a loving home for Min-ji (played by Seo Soo-min). But at school, the poor girl is the target of bullying, masterminded by the daughter of our story’s powerful villain Joo Sang-wook (Buried Hearts).
Although Kim can see the manipulations at play, he can’t risk jeopardizing their family’s anonymity – which would lead to bigger dangers – and he’s forced to bow his head. However, this leads Min-ji to think that Dad doesn’t believe what she said really happened and we go from bad to worse when Min-ji suddenly goes missing. And now all the gloves are off, ramping up the action with Sohn Na-eun (The Tale of Lady Ok) and Kim Sung-kyu (Taxi Driver 3) in tow.
The sequence also calls in Kim’s two teammates to lend a hand, taekwondo medalist Sung Han-soo (Choi Dae-hoon) as well as rocker-turned-soldier Park Jin-chul (Yoon Kyung-ho). And it’s nice to take a breather in the special preview clip, to see how our ajusshi trio have forged bonds, still bickering as always, but now as friends.
Adapted from the popular webtoon, SBS’s upcoming Agent Kim Reactivated is slated to premiere on June 26 this week. Unfolding its tale over a 10-episode run on weekends, the crime-thriller has PD Leee Seung-young (Wonderful World, Tracer) and PD Lee So-eun at the helm, with scripts by screenwriter Nam Dae-joong (The First Ride, Love Reset).
