LABOUM Haein‘s husband may be a non-celebrity now, but their love story started in the most K-Pop way possible: inside an entertainment company.
The former girl group member recently revealed the unexpected backstory of how she first met her husband, and it turns out he once chased the same idol dream. On June 29, 2026 (KST), Haein uploaded a video to her personal channel, where she opened up about her first meeting with her husband.
While fans knew that Haein’s husband was not a celebrity, her latest video revealed a surprising detail: He was once an idol trainee.
“I met him when I was 19, when I was a trainee,” Haein shared. According to Haein, the two did not get to talk much inside the company at first. There was reportedly a rule that male and female trainees were not allowed to talk to each other, making it difficult for them to grow close at work.
I had already joined the company as a trainee, and at the time, there was a separate debut team, so I was the only trainee. That new trainee was my husband.

Instead, they began talking while using public transportation. “We had a lot in common,” Haein recalled, “So rather than conversations between a man and a woman, we talked a lot about future-oriented things while chasing our dreams.”
As they continued talking, the two gradually became closer. Although neither made their feelings obvious at the time, Haein believes there was mutual interest between them. “We didn’t show it, but I think we both had feelings for each other,” she said.
However, their trainee-era connection abruptly ended when her husband left the company.
Then suddenly, my husband stopped coming in. He disappeared. I heard he quit being a trainee and enlisted in the military. I thought I would never see him again, but then I received a message I never expected!

After what sounds like something straight out of a K-Drama, the two tied the knot in November 2023. At the time, she also shared the news of her premarital pregnancy. She later gave birth to her first child in May 2024 and welcomed her second child, a son, in April 2025.
