Heart Signal China Season 2 couple Zhang Tian and Chen Yi Chen have officially ended their relationship after seven years together.
The pair first met on the hit Chinese dating reality show Heart Signal Season 2 in 2019 and became one of the franchise’s most beloved real-life couples, earning the nickname the “TianYi Couple.”
After the show, their romance continued off-screen, with many fans supporting their relationship for years.
However, the couple’s journey wasn’t without challenges. Later in 2019, Zhang Tian publicly claimed that Chen Yi Chen’s management company had interfered with their relationship and spread negative remarks about her. The controversy escalated after private phone conversations between the couple were leaked online, sparking a major privacy scandal.
That November, Chen Yi Chen announced they had broken up at the time and publicly apologized to Zhang Tian. Despite the setback, the two reconciled in 2020. Over the following years, they continued to show signs that their relationship was going strong.
In 2022, Chen openly expressed his affection for Zhang during a livestream, and in 2023, the couple even appeared together in content related to Heart Signal 6, delighting longtime fans. Earlier this year, however, fans noticed that the couple had stopped interacting with each other on social media, leading to growing breakup speculation.
On July 16, Zhang Tian confirmed the news herself.
“Because of our different values and life experiences, it became difficult for us to continue the relationship. We tried to understand each other and make things work, but in the end, we decided to go our separate ways.”
Chen Yi Chen later shared her statement and wrote:
“Thank you for all the time we spent together. I sincerely wish you happiness in the future.”
Unlike the public disputes that surrounded their relationship in the past, the couple quietly brought their seven-year romance to an end without any public accusations or conflict. Fans expressed sadness over the news, with many remembering them as one of the most successful couples to come out of the Heart Signal franchise.
