[CONCERT RECAP] NCT 127 Bring the Noize Back to Singapore with ‘NEO CITY: THE REDLINE’

Four years after their last visit, NCT 127 reunited with Singapore Czennies for a night of explosive performances, playful exchanges and heartfelt promises to return sooner.

Four years is a long time to wait for a reunion, but on 18 October 2026, NCT 127 finally made their way back to Singapore. Bringing their 5th tour, ‘NEO CITY: THE REDLINE’, to the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the group reunited with local fans for an evening that celebrated the full spectrum of their music — from their hard-hitting signature sound to their softer, more sentimental side.

The concert opened with “Legacy”, “Step Up” and “Walk”, before moving into “Simon Says”, “Cherry Bomb” and “Lemonade”. It was an opening run that drew on the group’s distinctive musical identity, building the evening around the bold sounds and confident performances that have become hallmarks of NCT 127. The switch between tracks kept the momentum going, with the familiar intensity of “Simon Says” and “Cherry Bomb” setting up the next chapter of the show.

Following a VCR interlude, the group returned with “Punch”, “Bring the Noize” and “2 Baddies”. The sequence brought the concert firmly into REDLINE territory, with each track leaning into the group’s punchier, more assertive sound. “Punch” delivered its futuristic edge, while “Bring the Noize” was an especially fitting addition to a tour that brought NCT 127’s signature energy back to Singapore. “2 Baddies” rounded out the segment with the bold attitude that has long been part of the group’s appeal.

Four years apart, finally back together

Beyond the performances, the significance of returning to Singapore after four years was not lost on the members.

During the opening ment, Jaehyun shared how happy the group was to be back, acknowledging that it had been four years since their previous visit and telling fans how much they had missed Singapore Czennies. He hoped everyone would enjoy the concert all the way until the end.

Yuta followed with an enthusiastic invitation for fans to make the venue the hottest place in Singapore, encouraging everyone to keep the energy going until the final moments of the show. Their words gave the reunion a personal touch early in the evening: after such a long gap, there was plenty to catch up on, but first, there was a concert to enjoy together.

The members then introduced “Nonstop”, describing it as a slightly sad song and teasing fans not to cry. The playful warning added a lighthearted touch before the group continued with “Nonstop”, “IKR” and “Ay-Yo”.

During “Ay-Yo”, a video featuring Jungwoo and Doyoung’s vocals from previous stages was incorporated into the performance. With both members currently serving their mandatory military service in South Korea, their absence was felt during the Singapore stop. Though unable to join the concert in person, their voices remained part of the performance, offering fans a touching reminder that they were still part of NCT 127 even while away from the stage.

Another VCR followed, ushering in a noticeable change of mood. The group returned with “Not Alone” and “Day After Day”, moving into a softer, dreamier stretch of the concert. After the intensity of the earlier performances, the two songs offered a gentler atmosphere, allowing the evening to slow down and giving the setlist a more reflective dimension.

The contrast was part of what made the concert engaging. NCT 127’s repertoire is known for its bold, experimental sound, but the softer tracks offered a reminder that the group’s music also has room for tenderness and emotional connection.

During the next ment, Haechan checked in with the audience, sharing that there were not many songs left and hoping that fans were having just as much fun as the members were. The conversation soon turned to food, with the members reminiscing about Singapore’s chilli crab and pepper crab. They shared that they had enjoyed plenty of both dishes during their first visit to Singapore, while Haechan revealed that he had craved them after returning to Korea but struggled to find the same food there. The casual exchange brought a touch of local flavour to the evening, giving fans a glimpse into the members’ memories of Singapore beyond the stage.

The group continued with “0 Mile”, “Summer 127” and “Getaway”, bringing a lighter, feel-good stretch to the setlist before another VCR signalled a return to the concert’s more intense side.

    Turning up the REDLINE

The energy picked up again with “Piñata”, “Fire Truck”, “Fact Check”, “Kick It” and “Blingy”. The run brought the concert back to the bold, performance-driven sound that has become closely associated with NCT 127, with tracks from different points in their discography adding variety to the final stretch of the main set.

From the distinctive character of “Fire Truck” to the instantly recognisable “Kick It”, the sequence offered a strong contrast to the softer moments earlier in the evening. “Fact Check” and “Blingy” carried the momentum forward, bringing the main set towards its close without losing the concert’s intensity.

An encore filled with love and laughter

While waiting for NCT 127 to return to the stage for the encore, Singapore Czennies held a sing-along to “Meaning of Love”, filling the venue with their voices as they eagerly anticipated the group’s return. The fan-led moment added a heartwarming touch to the evening, reflecting the love and connection shared between NCT 127 and their fans.

The encore continued with “Paper Plane” and “Touch”. During “Paper Plane”, the members threw paper planes to fans, adding a playful touch to the performance and making the most of their time with the audience.

As the evening drew to a close, the members took a moment to thank fans for the lovely posters they had prepared. They revealed that they had seen the posters backstage while getting ready for the encore, a small but meaningful detail that showed how much the fans’ efforts had been appreciated.

Johnny also shared his hope that the group had made the day special for Singapore Czennies, promising that the next time NCT 127 returned to Singapore, it would be in less than four years. After such a long wait for this reunion, the promise was especially welcome.

Haechan added that one day together felt too short, expressing his hope that the group could return for two days next time. He encouraged fans to wait for them until their next visit, leaving everyone with something to look forward to beyond the concert itself.

Following the photo session, the group and fans sang “Happy Birthday” to Yuta, adding another personal moment to the evening. The concert then drew to a close with “Promise You”, which also incorporated vocals from Doyoung and Jungwoo. Their voices returning once more in the final song made for a fitting closing moment, especially after their earlier appearance in the “Ay-Yo” segment.

    Until the next time

Four years may have passed since NCT 127 last performed in Singapore, but the evening was a reminder of the connection they continue to share with local fans. Across the hard-hitting opening stages, softer musical interludes, playful conversations and heartfelt closing messages, the concert offered a little of everything that makes the group’s performances memorable.

More than just a long-awaited return, ‘NEO CITY: THE REDLINE’ was an opportunity for NCT 127 and Singapore Czennies to reconnect through the music and moments they shared. And with Johnny promising a shorter wait and Haechan already hoping for a two-day visit, fans have every reason to look forward to welcoming the group back sooner rather than later.

[NCT 127 5TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY : SINGAPORE – THE REDLINE‘]  is presented by Unusual Entertainment. Team HelloKpop would like to extend gratitude to Unusual Entertainment for the media invite.
