Seo Kang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin fall in A Love Other Than Yours

The first teaser has dropped for KBS’s newest romance A Love Other Than Yours, highlighting the history of its long-term couple Seo Kang-joon (Boyfriend on Demand) and Ahn Eun-jin (Dynamite Kiss). While their relationship may have reached a comfortable stage in the present after ten years of being together, they once experienced the butterflies of falling in love just like everyone else.
The teaser begins with Lee Mi-do’s (Ahn Eun-jin) perspective as she admires her boyfriend Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-joon). Every moment was passionate and exciting between the young lovers, filled with quick pecks at any chance they got. Since they were little, Mi-do and Ho grew up together — swimming in buckets on the porch, sending winks across the classroom — and maybe it was this proximity that kept them from seeing anyone else. As they spend their brightest days in each other’s arms, their relationship reflects that of a hazy and wistful love tinged with nostalgia.
As we move to Ho’s point of view, he watches Mi-do at work on set as a director. He says that her dreams made his heart flutter so there was no way he could not have fallen in love with her. Just as the couple has grown over the years so have their kisses, and the quick pecks turn into passionate embraces. However, as the teaser ends on a shot of Mi-do and Ho standing in the street in the middle of the night, the color that populated their youth seems to have transformed into shades of grey and black. Will they be able to rediscover the spark they had or will the unfamiliar Lee Joo-ahn (Dream to You) and Jo Ah-ram (To the Moon) cause their hearts to beat for someone else?
KBS’s 14-episode romance A Love Other Than Yours is co-directed by PD Hwang Seung-ki (The Matchmakers) and PD Lee Ga-ram with scripts by Yoo Su-ji (Somehow 18). The show premieres September 12 in the weekend slot with international streaming available on Amazon Prime.
