A beloved K-Pop idol revealed that she is currently gaining weight and divulged the heartbreaking reason why she stopped dieting.
On August 24th, a video titled “Everything Revealed About Soyou’s First Health Checkup Results After Losing 20kg” was uploaded by SISTAR‘s Soyou.
In the video, Soyou appeared curious, saying she was getting a health checkup for the first time in two years and wondered if the rapid weight loss had caused any changes to her body. After changing clothes, Soyou began the checkup in earnest. Her weight was 51.4 kg. She expressed surprise, saying she had lost too much muscle.
In particular, Soyou mentioned the recent loss of her father and explained, “I’m not following any diet right now. After what happened with my father recently, people around me kept telling me to eat whenever they saw me, so my stomach stretched during that time.”
After completing the tests, Soyou said, “I lost as much as 3kg of muscle. I’ll rebuild my muscle by September. I’m not dieting right now. I’m gaining weight. I lost a lot last year and maintained it since then. Now, my body seems to have adapted. When I eat, I try to eat a balanced diet but don’t force myself. I stop when I feel full.”
