Singles Han Ji-min and Park Sung-hoon meet for fate and love
by tccolb
Preparations are well underway for an Efficient Meeting of Singles (roughly translated) on JTBC, lining up Han Ji-min (Heavenly Ever After) and Park Sung-hoon (Squid Game 3) to lead the cast through a tale of love and dating in the slice-of-life rom-com’s first script reading stills.
Having enjoyed success in her hotel industry career, but not in romance thus far, our determined heroine Lee Eui-young (Han Ji-min) endeavors to make a change by finding her life partner through a series of blind dates. And Eui-young seemingly strikes gold too when she meets the warm, gentle, and stalwart Song Tae-sub (Park Sung-hoon), the CEO of a woodworking studio.
Yet, what is a girl to do when the also attractive Lee Ki-taek (Namib) comes a-knocking at her door as the free-spirited and open-hearted Shin Ji-soo. And he thinks that meeting Eui-young was fate, forcing our conflicted heroine to make a tough choice between two different suitors.
Eui-young is accompanied on her ~love~ journey by her colleagues and friends from work as well, with team member Jung Hye-sung (Shin’s Project) in the role of the cheerful and candid Jung Hyun-min, who likes to keep things casual when dating. In contrast, the ways of the world are still new for the team maknae Kim So-hye (My Lovely Boxer), playing the fumbling but earnest Shim Sae-byuk who looks up to Eui-young like a role model.
Adapted from the popular webtoon by the same title, production for the series has PD Lee Jae-hoon (Divorce Attorney Shin, Run On) directing and scripts written by Lee Yi-jin. Broadcasting on weekends starting next month, JTBC’s upcoming Efficient Meeting of Singles will be premiering on February 28.
