K-Pop fans are often the first to want their faves’ accomplishments recognized, but a recent push by Stray Kids fans has sparked mixed reactions.

The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) catalogs songs and those involved in their production. Many idols have achieved full membership status based on their contributions, and there is an ongoing count of those with the most credits.
The record for most was previously held by former VIXX member Ravi, but in August 2026, Stray Kids‘ Bangchan became the most credited idol overall.
Stray Kids’ Bang Chan
Fans of Stray Kids shared their pride in the achievement, while questioning why there was no official notice from JYP Entertainment. On September 8, Bangchan cleared this up in a series of messages on a fan chatting platform.
The idol acknowledged fans’ praise, while also stating that he did not want to make a “big deal” out of it.
He also shared messages about having made so many songs, “but no big hits.”
Bangchan’s comments were reposted, where many mocked the idol, even accusing him of “guilting” fans.

On the other hand, fans of the idol expressed frustration with the group’s management instead, questioning why a successful idol like Bang Chan would have thoughts like this.
