Yet, it sparked controversy for many reasons.
Some thought it was unfair that someone like EVAN, who had been an idol for so long and under a big company, won THE SHOW, a program known to help smaller and less-known groups showcase their talent.
why was he even there https://t.co/gUXBINCh6z

if your first win is from the show and you’re from a big company, you’re a big ass failure https://t.co/M6REUoXihg

There were also some tweets criticizing the idol’s vocals, but many fans hit back at this backlash, explaining that EVAN’s vocals were raw and fully live, but still strong and stable.
where did all the people who said he was the one carrying Enhypen vocally go? genuinely asking because oh my god, this shit is a mess😭 pic.twitter.com/hibQyyFYGn

evan needs to work on his higher range since his songs have a lot of high notes now…his low to mid range is gorgeous but at high he can be pretty shaky at times. it’s a good thing he still takes vocal lessons tho.

That’s just what 100% live vocals with no backing vocals sound like. Speaking on Evan’s vocals is just setting your own fave up 😭 https://t.co/hFNuQwh1Zh
