A writer and actress with Down syndrome sparked pregnancy rumors after revealing an ultrasound image on social media, leaving netizens shocked.
On September 25th, Seo Eun Hye (formerly known as Jung Eun Hye) shared several photos on her personal social media account. However, one photo triggered pregnancy rumors.
The photo showed Seo Eun Hye and her husband Cho Young Nam holding an ultrasound image facing each other, with Seo Eun Hye appearing to cradle her own belly, leading to speculation that the two were becoming parents.
However, some claimed the image was AI-generated based on their photos, noting the watermark indicating AI generation at the bottom of the picture.
Moreover, the original photo showing the two facing each other in the same outfit featured in the image was also released, supporting the AI-generated image claim.
Later on in the same day, Seo Eun Hye’s official account posted a statement clarifying the rumors, saying, “In response to the sudden pregnancy rumors, ‘We just laugh.’ The image was generated by AI during the process of creating a Chuseok greeting card using an app received from an acquaintance of writer Eun Hye.”
The statement continued, “The pregnancy rumors about writer Eun Hye are completely false. The two have mutually agreed not to have children and continue their daily lives and economic activities. Posting the image on Facebook could understandably cause misunderstandings, but please consider it a kind of incident.”
Seo Eun Hye gained recognition for playing Lee Young Hee, sister of Han Ji Min’s character in tvN’s Our Blues in 2022. She married Cho Young Nam, whom she met through a public job program for people with developmental disabilities, after one year of dating, in May 2025.
