A K-Pop star’s wife drew laughter by doing his makeup herself and making an honest joke about his “fake nose.”
On October 16th, the YouTube channel Neighborhood Friend Kangnami released a video titled, “I went on a 3-night, 4-day Japan schedule with the queen of support, Sang Hwa!”
In the video, Kangnam flew out to attend a commentary schedule related to the 2026 Asian Games held in Japan. He said, “I don’t know why I’m going, but thankfully KBS invited me. Thank you,” sharing his thoughts on being asked.
Lee Sang Hwa accompanied her husband and provided support during his schedule. After safely arriving in Japan, the couple got ready to go out the next morning, and Lee Sang Hwa helped Kangnam with his makeup herself.
With practiced hands, she said while applying his makeup, “I do this when he’s not going to the salon.” Then, mentioning Kangnam’s nose, she jokingly said, “You have to be careful because your nose is fake,” eliciting laughter.
Her blunt remark brought renewed attention to Kangnam’s confession about his rhinoplasty.
Previously, Kangnam had openly shared his journey of losing 13kg and frankly revealed that he had rhinoplasty. At the time, he said it had been two weeks since the surgery and explained, “My nose bridge was crooked, so I had the surgery both for breathing correction and appearance.”
He also shared reactions to his changed looks after the surgery. Kangnam said, “After the nose surgery and losing weight, there have been a lot more comments saying I look handsome,” which caused laughter.
