ENHYPEN member Jay has been revealed to be the victim of serious stalking and privacy violations, with his agency, BELIFT LAB, announcing that it has filed a criminal complaint against the individual responsible.
On November 3, BELIFT LAB released an official statement titled “Update on Strict Legal Action Against Unauthorized Disclosure of an Artist’s Personal Information and Stalking,” revealing disturbing details about the harassment Jay has allegedly endured for several months.
According to the agency, the situation began in June 2026, when an individual obtained access to Jay’s private phone number and repeatedly attempted to contact him. What initially appeared to be an ordinary service-related phone call reportedly turned into a prolonged case of harassment involving deception, unauthorized recordings, and the distribution of private conversations. BELIFT LAB revealed that the individual initially contacted Jay while pretending to work for an internet and television installation service.
During the first phone call, the person allegedly mentioned Jay’s family and claimed to be contacting him regarding installation services. The individual then attempted to obtain additional personal information by asking when they could call again and providing their own contact details.
According to the agency, the caller deliberately used false information to gain Jay’s trust. However, Jay became suspicious and personally checked the claims with his family. His family confirmed that the information provided by the caller was completely false. Despite Jay discovering the deception, the individual allegedly continued contacting him. The agency explained that the harassment did not stop even when Jay refused to respond. Instead, the individual allegedly continued making repeated attempts to contact him through his personal phone number. Even more concerning, BELIFT LAB revealed that the individual had secretly recorded phone conversations with Jay without his authorization.
These recordings were subsequently distributed across multiple online platforms, including KakaoTalk, Instagram, and X Spaces. BELIFT LAB also accused the individual of attempting to avoid responsibility after the incident became publicly known. According to the statement, the person repeatedly offered explanations for their behavior, claiming that the calls had been work-related or that their accounts had been hacked. The individual also allegedly deleted social media accounts in an attempt to evade accountability.

The agency emphasized that the unauthorized distribution of the recordings created additional concerns about Jay’s privacy and personal safety. In its statement, BELIFT LAB disclosed that the repeated harassment had caused Jay considerable emotional distress.
The agency specifically cited the psychological distress and anxiety resulting from the repeated contact, deceptive behavior, and unauthorized distribution of his private conversations.
BELIFT LAB explained that it considered the individual’s actions deliberate, malicious, and severe. The company stated that the situation went beyond a simple invasion of privacy, raising concerns about further harm caused by the exposure of the artist’s personal information. As a result, the agency decided to pursue criminal action. BELIFT LAB confirmed that it has officially filed a criminal complaint against the individual. The company also revealed that it had contacted South Korea’s three major telecommunications providers, formally requesting their cooperation in identifying the person responsible.
The company encouraged fans to continue reporting privacy violations and malicious activities through HYBE’s official Artist Rights Protection website.
