This past weekend, NCT 127 held their fifth tour concert, THE REDLINE, in Bangkok, Thailand.
However, despite a great show, it received significant online attention after a fan discovered picket signs that excluded leader Taeyong.
In the photos, they claim that they are happy because of the group, but the doll images exclude Taeyong and include ex-member Mark.
??? Why do 127zens always exclude Taeyong? I respect that you chose to include the person who left, but exclude Taeyong, the leader ?? pic.twitter.com/HOb5TUHlKn

This began spreading like wildfire online, with other fans discovering other posters and pickets excluding Taeyong.

As the issue escalated, the fan who held the picket posted an apology and explanation online.
สวัสดีค่ะ
เราคือคนที่ชูป้าย 2 ใบนั้นเองค่ะ ก่อนอื่นเราต้องขอโทษคุณแทยง และแฟนคลับของคุณแทยงทุกท่านด้วยนะคะ รวมถึงเมมเบอร์ในวง และแฟนคลับของเมมเบอร์คนอื่นๆ ที่โดนพาดพิงด้วยค่ะ#THE_REDLINE_BANGKOK#NCT127_5TH_NEOCITY_THE_REDLINE#NCT127_5TH_NEOCITY_BANGKOK_THE_REDLINE pic.twitter.com/WN4otndnBR

“First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize to Taeyong and all his fans, as well as to the other members and their fans who were also affected or mentioned in this situation.
When I was making the banners, I genuinely believed that I had included his character. It was only after seeing a post on Twitter pointing out that Taeyong’s character was missing that I realized my mistake.
I was also rushing because I had made several banners and failed to double-check everything carefully.
I have never had any intention of excluding or not supporting any member of NCT. I want to make that absolutely clear. I accept all criticism, harsh words, and advice directed towards me. I will learn from this mistake and make sure that something like this never happens again.”
— Owner of the controversial picket
However, despite the apology, many fans rejected it, stating that they were just making more excuses.
When it comes to Taeyong, you were careless but yet you made sure to include to the former member, and you know that you should have two white dolls. Leaving Ty or JW out is inexcusable. https://t.co/1tDi5UzDqD

APOLOGY REJECTED!!!
The more excuses you make, the more obvious it becomes that your disrespect toward him was deliberate. And this goes for every other fan who creates freebies while deliberately excluding him. With such a malicious and spiteful fan mentality like that, you… https://t.co/MzJLGxIHi5

But somehow it’s still the leader and the only member who made 127 globally popular that you “forget”… interesting🤔
Rejected excuses, you’re not in a kdrama, but on a US platform where apology afterwards represents nothing but the shit you did, assume your responsibility. https://t.co/2hmQTHcMlJ
