A Korean actor revealed the unexpected reason he decided to marry his singer girlfriend.
On November 5th, a video titled “First Mukbang and the Groom-to-Be’s New Concept Flirting Technique” was released on YouTube.
In the video, Lee Kyu Han and Solbi candidly shared the moments that gave them certainty about their upcoming marriage. Lee Kyu Han said, “After announcing our marriage, I thought carefully about how to explain why I decided to marry Solbi.”
He confessed, “My natural tendency is to be very sensitive to receiving orders, commands, or criticisms from others.” He added, “I work hard at acting not only because I want to do well, but also because I’m worried about being criticized by directors or viewers on set.”
However, he shared, “Being with Solbi, she gives me orders, commands, and criticisms as naturally as breathing, but it doesn’t bother me at all. I just respond with ‘Okay,’ and ‘I’ll do that’ and follow through.”
Lee Kyu Han revealed, “At some point, I realized it didn’t make me feel bad at all. I thought, if she’s like this, then I can marry her.”
When Solbi asked, “Do I give you that many orders?” Lee Kyu Han replied, “You do it as naturally as breathing,” which brought laughter.
In particular, Lee Kyu Han joked, “Even when there’s nothing to order, she still calls ‘Oppa, Oppa, Oppa’,” causing Solbi to burst out laughing.
Solbi and Lee Kyu Han are set to marry in April next year. The couple’s relationship began last year after appearing on KBS 2TV’s dating reality show Old Friends Seeking Love, and has since progressed to marriage.
In the show’s finale, Solbi chose Lee Kyu Han, but he did not hold her hand. However, they are now announcing their wedding about a year later.
