On January 16, during an interview held in a location in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of the film Project Y (directed by Lee Hwan), Han So-hee expressed her feelings about the upcoming release.

Set to premiere on the 21st, Project Y tells the story of Miseon and Dokyung, who dream of a different tomorrow while living in the heart of a dazzling city. At life’s edge, they steal black money and gold bars, leading to a gripping series of events.

After its world premiere in the “Special Presentation” section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, the film was officially invited to the 30th Busan International Film Festival and won the Best Film Award at the 10th London Asian Film Festival, garnering global attention as a highly anticipated project.

Han So Hee’s character, Miseon, is a person who dreams of an ordinary life and lives fiercely, longing for a moment of escape from harsh reality. Just before seizing that moment, Miseon loses everything and plans to steal the black money from Chairman To, risking her life together with her friend Dokyung (played by Jeon Jong Seo).

In the interview, Han So Hee revealed, “Jeon Jong Seo’s involvement was crucial to me participating in this project. She was also an actress I wanted to work with.”

Previously, when asked how they became close, Jeon Jong Seo revealed, “Han So Hee sent me a message via social media.”

Laughing, Han So-hee said, “I’m not the type to send DMs to just anyone. I guessed we might have some similarities, so I wanted to get closer. That’s why I suddenly sent the message, and Jong Seo replied, so we met right away.”

She added, “I have friends from school and others in different professions, but I felt Jong Seo could perfectly empathize with my situation, which is why I reached out. I also liked her acting and wanted to ask her personally about her approach to her roles.”

When asked about working with Jeon Jong Seo in practice, Han So-hee said, “She’s a very tough actress. Having lived abroad, I envied her English skills. She pays close attention to every single scene, and I thought there was a lot I could learn from her.”

Meanwhile, both Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo have faced criticism for their activities on social media. On this, Han So Hee commented, “I think we have to accept it,” and continued, “As I receive more public attention year after year, I feel an obligation and responsibility to be persuasive with my words.”

She added, “We have to accept some things. Not everyone’s opinion will be the same. Not all ten people will like me. I try to look at myself objectively and analyze.“
