In 2012, the first season of the hip-hop audition program Show Me The Money aired.

This season highlighted many now well-known performers, including the season’s winner, Loco. Since then, the show has continued annually until 2022, culminating in the most recent rendition, Show Me The Money 11.

The show was announced to be returning last year for a 12th season after a three-year hiatus, with many familiar faces added to the show’s producer line-up. BLOCK B’s Zico, Jay Park, Loco, Grey, and Crush make up some of the teams announced, adding to the show’s seemingly anticipated return.

The show has seen plenty of viral moments through the years, and already this season, with the initial try-outs.

However, these aspects did not appear to contribute to the show’s overall viewership.

Following the show’s premiere on January 15, KST, Nielsen reported a 0.6% viewership rating, down from the 1.2% achieved by Show Me The Money 11 in its first episode.

Usually, programs begin low and then rise, but with this low start, only time will tell if the show’s popularity will catch the attention of viewers.
