Brands have started distancing themselves from actor Kim Seon Ho amid his ongoing controversy over alleged tax avoidance.

Previously, a media outlet reported that Kim Seon Ho was operating a one-person corporation separate from his agency, leading to allegations that it was a paper company. They also reported that he had evaded taxes through this corporation.
Kim Seon Ho Accused Of “Tax Laundering” For Receiving Settlement Money Through Family Corporation
After the allegations surfaced, Kim Seon Ho’s agency, Fantagio, put out a statement of apology, followed by an explanation of the situation, claiming that the actor had halted all operations by his one-person agency and had received all his earnings under Fantagio directly as an individually. The statement also mentioned that Kim had reportedly returned all corporate assets, including corporate card usage, family salary payments, and corporate vehicles, after realizing that a one-person corporation structure could lead to misunderstandings. As a corrective measure, he also paid extra personal income taxes on top of the corporate taxes already paid, and the corporation is reportedly in the final stages of dissolution.

Despite this lengthy explanation and apology, Kim Seon Ho appears to be facing fallout in the advertising world. Recently, Beanpole, the fashion brand, reportedly scrubbed its teaser video for the 2026 Spring Collection featuring Kim from all its social media accounts.
Now, according to an OSEN report, skincare brand La Roche-Posay has also distanced itself from Kim Seon Ho. The brand initially selected him as a model in 2021, but temporarily removed all related advertisements after a controversy related to his personal life damaged his public image. Though the ads were later restored, they appear to have been removed again. Though the exact reason has not been disclosed, industry insiders speculate it has to do with Kim’s ongoing tax scandal.
