    Kim Sung-chul, Jin Ki-joo

    1. A new medical rom-com called Sleeping Doctor is in the works, reportedly tapping Jin Ki-joo (Undercover High School) and Kim Sung-chul (Hellbound 2) to headline the series. The title refers to our main character’s dilemma, being a doctor who struggles to treat patients due to narcoleptic symptoms that seem to be connected with trauma from their past. Production is currently at the casting stage, with PD Lee Hyun-kyung (Nothing Uncovered) and writer Baek Eun-kyung (Once Upon a Small Town) leading the team. [10 Asia, SpoTV News]

    1. Catching up on promos from MBC, Lee Sung-kyung (The Nice Guy) and Chae Jong-hyeop (Serendipity’s Embrace) take us through stormy as well as sunny days in the latest teaser and posters for In Your Radiant Season. Broadcasting on weekends starting February 20 next week, PD Jung Sang-hee (Please Send a Fan Letter, Wonderful World) and PD Kim Young-jae (The Pork Cutlets) are co-directing with scripts by Jo Sung-hee (Thirty But Seventeen). 2. JTBC came out with a new video teaser as well, where Han Ji-min (Heavenly Ever After) resolves to finally find true love through The Practical Guide to Love. After a string of blind date duds, she finds not one but two potential keepers – Park Sung-hoon (Squid Game 3) and Lee Ki-taek (Namib) – and the rom-com’s shipping wars are set to commence on February 28. 1. Tis the season of ~love~ on JTBC with Still Shining (previously Shining) also on the horizon, showcasing leads Got7’s Jinyoung (Our Unwritten Seoul) and Kim Min-joo (Undercover High School), as well as Shin Jae-ha (The Auditors) in the bundle of character stills. Helmed by PD Kim Yoon-jin (Tell Me That You Love Me, Our Beloved Summer) with Lee Sook-yeon (A Piece of Your Mind) writing, the romance is slated to premiere on March 6 in the Friday slot. 2. MBC’s Perfect Crown and royal regalia are under spotlight in the newest batch of stills, robing our story’s prince Byun Woo-seok (Lovely Runner), in addition to prime minister Noh Sang-hyun (Genie Make a Wish) and the young queen dowager Gong Seung-yeon (My Lovely Journey). Also starring chaebol and princess-to-be IU (When Life Gives You Tangerines), the rom-com will be launching this April, following In Your Radiant Season on weekends. [MBC (1), (2)]
