IVE is igniting yet another wave of “IVE Syndrome” with their latest pre-release track, “BANG BANG.”
According to Starship Entertainment, the music video for “BANG BANG,” a pre-release from the group’s second full-length album REVIVE+ (released on the 9th), shot to No. 1 on YouTube’s Worldwide Trending Music Videos as of 8 a.m. on the 11th. The track also secured the top spot on YouTube Korea’s Trending Music for two consecutive days since the 10th, reinforcing the group’s explosive global pull.
The song’s reception on domestic charts has been equally fierce. “BANG BANG” stormed into No. 1 on Melon’s HOT100 immediately upon release and climbed to No. 4 on the TOP100 as of 8 p.m. on the 11th. Across platforms like Bugs, Genie, Vibe, and Flo, the track continues to maintain strong positions—setting the stage for an extended chart run.
Globally, IVE’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. “BANG BANG” debuted at No. 19 on the iTunes Worldwide Songs chart (as of the 10th) and has landed within the Top 10 of the iTunes Top K-Pop Songs chart in 21 countries and regions, along with charting in the Top Songs list across 17 markets. In China, it surged to No. 1 on QQ Music’s Rapid Rise chart by 9 p.m. on the 11th. Japan is also showing massive response, with the track soaring to the top of AWA’s Real-Time Rising Chart, as well as leading the platform’s Overseas New Releases, Overseas Pop, and Overseas Hit Songs charts. It further clinched No. 1 on Line Music’s Real-Time TOP100 and New Song Real-Time rankings, and dominated the mora Overseas Singles Real-Time Chart.
Musically, “BANG BANG” delivers a bold message about carving one’s own path, unshaken by outside noise or rumors. Powered by EDM and electronic elements, with a standout Western swing intro, the track’s addictive hook and punchy rap sections heighten anticipation for IVE’s second full-length album.
Ahead of the official release of REVIVE+ on the 23rd, IVE is rolling out a series of teaser contents. The group will also unveil their first performance of “BANG BANG” on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on the 12th.
