Park Min-young bestows her Siren’s Kiss on Wie Ha-joon

Trust is the question we pose in the latest promos for tvN’s crime-suspense Siren’s Kiss, ominously challenging Wie Ha-joon (Squid Game 3) to come ashore and determine if the secretive Park Min-young (Confidence Queen) is the deadly siren that he seeks.
Indeed, three deaths that each have ties to art auctioneer Han Seol-ah (Park Min-young) are three coincidences too many and it’s clear that our heroine is hiding something, even if we don’t know what it is. Still, insurance fraud investigator Cha Woo-seok (Wie Ha-joon) is understandably suspicious. But when accused of being the killer, Seol-ah turns the interrogation back on Woo-seok, alleging that he’s unable to know which party is the real victim.
The tenacious Woo-seok is invested in this case, though, and is desperate to learn the truth. Because if Seol-ah is not the murderer, then that means there’s another reason – or person(s) – that’s causing the misfortune around her. And grasping at the one crumb of a clue that suggests that loving Seol-ah leads to death, Woo-seok then dares to take that path, deducing that it’ll either lead him to die or he’ll find the true culprit.
However, here enters the deliciously nefarious Kim Jung-hyun (A Hundred Memories), who also shows interest in Seol-ah’s affairs. And perhaps he’s the real villain that we should be chasing? Or was it actually Seol-ah’s doing all along?
Incidentally, Woo-seok is suddenly hit by danger after danger in the next sequence, which is then followed by another accident staged by dramaland’s infamous Truck of Doom. But this makes Woo-seok coincidence number four for Seol-ah. And both of the trailers end on Seol-ah’s question: “Do you truly trust me?”
The mystery-thriller is set to unfold on March 2, broadcasting in the Monday-Tuesday slot. Adapting its tale from the 1999 Japanese series Ice World, tvN’s remake Siren’s Kiss has PD Kim Chul-kyu (Mother and Mom, Flower of Evil) directing and scripts penned by Lee Young.
