The feud between SEA and Korean netizens has reached far.

BTS’s upcoming concerts in Indonesia have become a controversial topic amid the ongoing clashes between Korean and Southeast Asian netizens.

    | GQ Magazine

The popular boy group is set to hold concerts in Jakarta on December 26 and 27 as part of their ARIRANG world tour.

    | BigHit Music

As tensions grew, some BTS fans began calling for the group to skip Indonesia entirely. Viral posts claim the members have been unfairly targeted online and argue that the group should not perform in a country where they feel hostility has been shown.

I hope joon skips Indonesia during tour locals in that country are fucking racist and violent atp they might physically harm him 🥴

RM in particular became a victim of extreme hate as a result of the clashes.

Some fans even expressed concern about the members’ safety and criticized what they see as attempts to use BTS’s popularity for political or promotional gain.

I really hope bts cancels their concert in indonesia cuz its getting ridiculous from jobless locals/kpop stans harassing and targeting them unprovoked to their shitty gov wanting to use them? free them tf https://t.co/jdjlCVGCz2

Indonesians have been waging a racist war against Namjoon for MONTHS not the Korean vs SEA Twitter war, but months ago They literally dragged him just for his looks??? Then they moved on to Tae, calling him every name in the book over a brand deal then they targeted jungkook + https://t.co/IUHhDNQCn2

However, these demands quickly drew strong reactions from Indonesian ARMYs. Many said local fans are not responsible for the online harassment and pointed out that BTS have faced racism in other countries without calls to cancel tour stops there.

    Don’t say something like this.
This hurts Indonesian armys too. 😭😭😭😭😭

You don’t know how tired we are with these people.
We’ve tried to report and block these people but they keep coming back. 😭😭😭😭

I don’t thibk indonesian armys are at fault for that??? The US media has been racist towards them for years and i don’t see people asking them to no tour there https://t.co/gR9fl0RwrV

As of now, there has been no official statement from HYBE or BigHit Music regarding any changes to the Jakarta dates.
