Generative AI technology is a controversial subject, particularly in creative spaces where it is increasingly seeping into music, art, books, and film. Some K-Pop idols, such as TXT‘s Yeonjun, have shared their stance on AI in the entertainment industry.

Everyone has different opinions, but for me personally…there are some things that are beautiful because they’re created by humans, right?… Like drawing, dancing, or singing…As someone who is doing something creative, I don’t want to rely on it for things like that.

    — Yeonjun

On February 24, TWICE‘s Tzuyu posted a new photoset that features the song “Into the Blue” by Sienna Rose. In a statement to Rolling Stone, streaming platform Deezer confirmed that albums and songs by this neo-soul “musician” have been flagged as AI.

The most-liked comment points out Tzuyu’s use of AI music and asks her not to use Sienna Rose songs in the future. As some other commenters pointed out, Tzuyu might have been unaware that the song is reportedly AI-generated.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that one of the thousands of users who liked the comment was Tzuyu herself.

Some netizens praised Tzuyu’s “like”, seeing it as an indication that she won’t post AI music in the future, and pointed out that Tzuyu previously shared her stance on AI.

I thought I loved Tzuyu enough already but every time I read new information about her, I love her even more. I know she’ll block that “artist” on all music platforms lol https://t.co/jwLO0OcYTS

She chose not to delete it. Instead, she liked a comment telling her to be careful about using AI songs. That made more people notice the comment. By reminding herself, she was also helping more us pay attention to it.

y’all she’s a musician , she works hard on her skills/performance to put out a song, so yes someone using a prompt to generate a song is wrong, nobody said she is supporting the AI artist, they just let her know it’s AI .
