    Ahead of the release of BLACKPINK‘s new album DEADLINE, fans have been left furious at Lisa‘s absence from a unique rollout.

    On February 26, KST, the girl group finally unveiled their special collaboration with the National Museum of Korea and Spotify, kicking off their full-album listening sessions for select fans. This project was also supposed to include the release of voice commentary tracks for eight of the museum’s signature artifacts, recorded by the four members.

    On this day, fans noticed that the voice commentaries had been made available on Spotify in two versions — Korean and English. However, Lisa‘s commentary tracks were missing from this list. She is expected to narrate the descriptions of Korea’s historical treasures in English and Thai.

    While it has been confirmed that Lisa’s commentaries will be released in March, fans are left wondering why all of the tracks couldn’t be released at the same time. Many feared that it was a racially motivated exclusion, which then sparked calls for her to leave the group.

    And to everyone here who keeps saying Lisa’s version will be released in March — I already fvking know that. My point is, why does her version have to be released later when the others were released at the same time? They clearly had the ability to release all versions at once.…

    Neither YG Entertainment nor the National Museum of Korea has offered any explanation on this situation as of yet.

    Meanwhile, the group’s new album seems to be facing major hiccups ahead of its release.
