On June 14, Younghoon went live to speak with fans about his upcoming activities. While discussing how he’d be interacting with fans, the idol mentioned that he’d be “going away for a bit,” adding that it would last for about a year and a half.

It quickly became clear to fans that the idol was referencing his mandatory military enlistment, something that confused and surprised fans. Younghoon is a 97-liner, and it is approaching the age of required enlistment, like other 97-liners.
