aespa recently took the stage at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026, performing a set filled with some of their biggest hits and newest releases.
The SM Entertainment girl group performed fan-favorite tracks, including “Next Level” and “Savage,” as well as newer songs like “Rich Man” and “Lemonade.”
However, one small moment from the performance caught attention afterward.
During “Savage,” Karina appeared to briefly forget the lyrics to her rap part. While the mistake was barely noticeable during the performance, the idol later brought it up herself while communicating with fans through Bubble.
I was so nervous that I got the lyrics wrong to a song that I sing so easily, as if it’s just like eating.

She then joked about the situation, and even issued a “formal” apology while promising fans that it would not happen again.
Karina: “This is ridiculous.”
Karina: “Yoo Ji Min is ridiculous.”
Karina: “I’ll write an apology letter.”
Karina: “Was it because I ate too much (sang the song so often) that I couldn’t sing as well?”
Karina: “Is that why?”
Karina: “This will never happen again.”
Karina: “August 2, 2026, Yoo Ji Min in Chicago.”

Fans found her reaction endearing, with many pointing out that the mistake was so small that most people did not even notice it until Karina mentioned it herself.
Rather than affecting aespa’s festival set, the moment became another example of Karina’s sincerity toward fans, as she was more concerned about a brief lyric slip than anyone watching the performance seemed to be.
