Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin heal each other in Sold Out on You

It’s time to travel down to the countryside with another teaser for SBS’s healing romance Sold Out on You, in which Ahn Hyo-seop (A Time Called You) plays a perfectionistic farmer and Chae Won-bin (Who Is She) aims for sold-out success as a show host.
The teaser opens with a distressed Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop) sprinting down an emergency hallway, as a voiceover advises him to pull himself out of his painful past. As Matthew sinks into despair, a chyron informs us that he’s been struggling with insomnia due to the excruciating guilt over his past mistakes.
Then the focus shifts to our home shopping star Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin), who walks into the office with her head held high despite the whispered gossip surrounding her. But away from their judgmental eyes, the dam finally breaks. “All I can do now is to act like I’m fine,” cries Ye-jin, “so why are you preventing me from doing even that?” No longer able to keep up her strong front, Ye-jin crumples to the ground, curling in on herself.
All too fixated on maintaining the facade of being okay, both Matthew and Ye-jin are unable to truly take care of themselves. When they meet, this commonality turns into connection and comfort. Calling Matthew by his similar-sounding nickname Mechuri, which means quail, Ye-jin asks, “Do you mean to say that you have faith in me?” In response, Matthew assures her, “Everyone will eventually realize that your choice is the right one.”
Walking by each other’s side and trusting each other through their lowest moments of self-doubt, the pair grow ever closer. “If it’s you, Ye-jin, I think my heart can rest at ease,” says Matthew, leaning his head on her shoulder. As night falls, Matthew and Ye-jin wish each other goodnight — and for once, it feels like they will indeed be able to sleep well.
Directed by PD Ahn Jong-yeon (Seoul Busters) with scripts by Jin Seung-hee, Sold Out on You is slated for an April 22 premiere. Streaming will be available on Netflix.
