Recently, a user on X (formerly Twitter) made a post alleging that Jennie and her fans “made up” the claim that she was the last Chanel ambassador to be personally picked by Karl Lagerfeld before he passed in 2019. The post cited an interview of Hollywood actress Margot Robbie as evidence, where she mentioned that she was the last Chanel ambassador chosen by Lagerfeld.
