- tvN is packaging Kim Woo-bin (Genie Make a Wish) into the new sports-fantasy Gift, playing a baseball coach who leaves the major leagues to train high school students instead. Expected to broadcast later this year in 2026, the webtoon-adaptation has PD Kim Kyu-tae (Notes from the Last Row, Our Blues) and PD Ham Seung-hoon at the helm, alongside scripts by a team of three: Min-jung, Hae-joo, and Sung-eun. - Netflix has announced a new action-comedy movie called Two Cops and Five Kids, lining up Dad Cha Tae-hyun (Moving) and Mom Eom Ji-won (Honour), together with their children: Do Young-seo (The Affair Was Just the Beginning), Kim Na-eun, Jung Han-sol, Shim Ji-ahn, and Kim Ra-hee (Dream to You). And it’s Dad’s turn to take care of the pack on his own, when Mom suddenly goes secretly undercover on vacation. Filmmaker Kim Jong-hyun (Run Off, Mr. Gam’s Victory) is attached to direct. - Netflix is also gearing up for Our Sticky Love, presenting a vaguely scruffy Jung Hae-in (Love Next Door) to Ha Young (Teach You a Lesson) in the sneak preview. Also starring Heo Sung-tae (Flex x Cop 2) and granny Kim Young-ok (Cashero) among other talents, the 12-episode rom-com will be launching tomorrow on August 7. PD Kim Jang-han (My Demon) and writer Mo Ji-hye (You Raise Me Up) are leading production. [Newsen]
- Character posters have come out on Disney+ for the Korea-Japan collaboration series Merry Berry Love, showcasing our story’s four leads: Ji Chang-wook (The Manipulated), Imada Mio (Crossroad), Nam Yoon-soo (Love in the Big City), and Kumada Rinka (Nagatan and Aoto: Ichika’s Cook Book 2). Coming to our screens sometime in October, PD Kim Soo-jung and PD Noh Young-sub are co-directing with writing by Lee Jae-yoon. [Newsen]
- Promos continue on ENA with a new poster and video teasers (found here and here), rounding up the troops for New Recruit 4. Starring Kim Min-ho (Spooky in Love), Kim Dong-joon (Siren’s Kiss), and Oh Dae-hwan (Filing for Love) among a mix of both familiar and new faces, the upcoming new season will be premiering this month on August 24, following Dream to You in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
