A beloved Korean actress opened up about the most difficult period of her life, sharing her painful feelings.
On the 23rd, the YouTube channel CGN uploaded a video titled “K-eldest daughter Actress Nam Bo Ra! Now a Mom.”
In the video, actress Nam Bo Ra appeared as a guest, where she spoke candidly about her faith and the life crises she had faced.
Recalling her hard times, Nam Bo Ra cautiously began, “I went through another major crisis in my life.” Earlier, through past broadcasts, she had named the moment when she lost her younger sibling first as the toughest time in her life.
As the eldest of 13 siblings, Nam Bo Ra endured the sudden loss of her younger brother in 2015. Since then, she has often shared on various programs how difficult it was for her to come to terms with that pain.
In the broadcast, she recalled, “At that time, I remembered the early morning prayers I used to attend as a child,” adding, “I thought to myself that I was struggling this much and needed to go back, so I went to early morning prayers.”
She continued, “I cried a lot during those prayers. I think I shouted, ‘Please save me, please help me.’ I prayed with resentment, asking, ‘Why did this happen? Why did you do this to me?’”—words that stirred sympathy.
Nam Bo Ra had previously confessed her feelings after losing her brother on the show Secret Older Sister. She said that the hardest moment in her life was “when my younger brother passed away first,” and she broke down in tears.
At that time, she said, “There were times I wanted to just shake it all off,” and added, “Honestly, it was really hard. It was an emotion I hadn’t opened up about in a long time. I had forgotten about it. I think I held it in. I just covered it up. Because if I brought it up, it was too painful, so I deliberately avoided thinking about it and kept covering it up.”
She then stated, “Honestly, I don’t think this pain will ever disappear. I think this suffering will last a lifetime, but what’s important is to overcome it well. It’s important not to remain in that pain but to overcome it well. Let’s do our best to get through it too,” encouraging strength.
As the eldest of 13 siblings, Nam Bo Ra has been loved for her attentive care for her younger brothers and sisters. In this broadcast, her sincere confessions about family, faith, and the times she has lived through life’s crises left a deep impression.
