She continued to perform despite the serious injury.

A beloved girl group member recently talked about a frightening household accident that left her with second-degree burns.
MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, the idol in question, opened up about the terrifying accident during her appearance on Davichi member Kang Min Kyung’s YouTube channel. While the two singers had candid conversations, Kang brought up Hwasa’s foot injury, asking if it had healed.
Hwasa responded by reassuring Kang that she had completely healed. The “Good Goodbye” singer then went on to explain how she sustained the injury, revealing that it happened because of a heated humidifier. “That thing goes beyond 100 degrees, doesn’t it? I was completely naked at the time,” the singer said while recalling the details of the accident.
Hwasa was trying to move the humidifier filled with boiling water when some of it spilled over. Given that she was completely naked at that time, the situation was life-threatening, as she could have sustained burns throughout her body. Luckily, she only ended up hurting her feet when she stepped into the spilled hot water.
However, the idol admitted that she was scared when she visited the hospital and her injuries were worse than she had expected. She was eventually diagnosed with second degree burns on the soles of her feet.
While the injury rendered Hwasa unable to walk properly, she had performances lined up that she had committed to. So, she braved it all and continued appearing on stage with her foot wrapped in bandages.
Though the singer had previously mentioned this accident last month during her appearance on MBC Radio’s Noon Song of Hope with Kim Shin Young, her retelling the story has sparked renewed concern about her wellbeing. However, she has reassured fans that her injury is completely healed now, with almost no scarring left behind.
