For years, Ha Hyungon’s departure from Click-B was simply treated as another lineup change. According to the singer, however, leaving the group was never his decision.
Click-B recently reunited as a full group for the first time in 11 years on KBS 2TV’s Happy Together: I Like That I’m Not Alone, where the members looked back on the period when three members left during the height of the group’s career. While Yoo Hoseok (also known as Evan) explained that he chose to leave because he had debuted immediately after middle school and wanted time to discover who he was outside the group, Ha Hyungon revealed that his own departure happened very differently.
He said fellow member Noh Minhyuk had first expressed his intention to leave. After that, the agency allegedly began pushing Ha Hyungon out as well.
After Minhyuk said he was leaving, the company made it feel like, ‘Since Minhyuk is leaving, you should leave too.’
— Ha Hyungon
Ha Hyungon believed the decision was tied to Click-B’s original band configuration. Once the group lost its guitarist, he felt the agency no longer saw a reason to preserve the band concept and therefore no longer saw a place for him either. The revelation cast his exit in a much harsher light, especially because Ha Hyungon had not wanted to leave the group.
Oh Jonghyuk then recalled the day the departing members moved out of the dorm. He said he had been asleep when Ha Hyungon came to say goodbye, and the image remained vivid even years later.
Hyungon came to say goodbye, and he was literally crying tears of blood.

The dramatic description initially shocked the cast, but Ha Hyungon quickly lightened the mood by explaining that he had undergone double-eyelid surgery only a day or two earlier!
