[Drama Chat] I’ve loved you ever since (2026 version)
by stroopwafel
It’s time for our annual sharefest of our “I’ve loved you ever since” roles and dramas. (You can check out last year’s version here, and the 2024 version as well).
If you have multiple dramas under your belt, it’s easy to fall into a sense of complacency as you start to notice familiar faces across networks and projects. You know their faces, you know their skills. And yet, people have a way of surprising you, and sometimes the alchemy of the right project, the right director, the right script turns a talented actor into a star.
This year, Heo Nam-joon takes the crown. I’d seen him in several dramas before, but it wasn’t until My Royal Nemesis that I really started to pay attention to him. His high-drama, high-passion portrayal of Cha Se-gye has been the character highlight of my year so far, and I’m already counting down the days till his next project (tvN’s Whale Star, for anyone else keeping track).
What are some of your freshest “I’ve loved you ever since” moments in dramaland? Which actors, roles, or dramas, were pivotal in making something shift for you?
Let the chatting begin!
