BTS member J-Hope shared the heartbreaking news of his grandmother’s demise during the group’s ongoing concert in Japan.

BTS is currently on the Japanese leg of their ARIRANG world tour, performing at the legendary Tokyo Dome. On April 17, during the first of the two-day concert slated in Tokyo, J-Hope shared that he received the news of his maternal grandmother’s passing as soon as he landed in Japan.

The rapper added that he was with the members when he got the news, and being together with them made it easier for him to process the grief.
He got emotional while saying that his grandmother was watching over them all and would be proud of him and the rest of the BTS members.
This heartbreaking news has also left many fans emotional as they recall the many occasions when J-Hope and his sister fondly talked about being raised by their grandmother.
