Actor Byeon Woo Seok revealed the seemingly counter-intuituve method he used when faced with financial hardship.
On the 26th, on the Netflix variety show Jae-seok’s B&B Rules!, Byeon Woo Seok sympathized with the story of an actor guest currently on a break. During the meal, an actor guest asked Lee Kwang Soo and Byeon Woo Seok, “When there is no work, and the preparation period for the next role is long, is there a wise way to cope? Do you have any personal know-how?”
After a moment of thought, Byeon Woo Seok replied, “It’s really tough, but I made a choice. There are many good people in this field, but the way to beat them is to immerse yourself in acting.”
He continued, “I had quite a bit of debt when I was young. But despite not having money, I actually reduced the time I spent on part-time jobs,” confessing his financial struggles and explaining, “I thought that once your monthly income becomes certain, there comes a moment when you become complacent. I did that even while being in the red,” which silenced those present.
Additionally, Lee Kwang Soo mentioned, “More than anything else, I think the most important thing is to hold on mentally. I couldn’t endure the break well, so I focused on exercising hard.”
Jae-seok’s B&B Rules! features Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Beon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun running a lodging camp and offering guests various events such as cooking, campfires, and sports games. The program began with episode one on the 26th and will be released sequentially over two weeks.
Born in 1991, Byeon Woo Seok debuted as a model at age 20 and began his full-fledged acting career in 2016 with the tvN drama Dear My Friends. He gained recognition through appearances in various works such as Strong Girl Nam Soon and Lovely Runner.
