Group TWICE‘s Jeongyeon has been caught up in transfer rumors.
A representative from Varo Entertainment told My Daily on the 24th, “It is true that we recently had a meeting with TWICE’s Jeongyeon,” but added, “Nothing has been finalized regarding any contract.”
Regarding this, a representative from her current agency, JYP Entertainment, stated, “TWICE is currently in the contract renewal discussion period. Both the company and the members are respectfully and carefully discussing the matter. We will provide information as soon as a decision is made.”
Jeongyeon debuted with TWICE in 2015 and gained tremendous love with hit songs such as “Cheer Up,” “TT,” and “What is Love?”. In July 2022, about three months before their contract expiration, all members announced their contract renewals.
Meanwhile, Jeongyeon recently confirmed her appearance in the film New Recruit: The Movie, signaling a new step as an actress.
Varo Entertainment also manages her older sister, actress Gong Seung Yeon, as well as Byeon Woo Seok, Lee Chae Min, and Lee Hong Nae. As Jeongyeon has been with JYP Entertainment for 11 years, attention is focused on whether she will join her older sister under the same roof.
