Co-ed groups often bring fresh sounds and concepts to the idol scene, but unfortunately, not all of these groups stay together forever.

BiTE A SHOCK is a Japanese co-ed idol group that was formed in July 2023 through the audition program BiSH THE NEXT.  The group currently consists of three female members and three male ones: Mahito, Rina, Hanano, Ryuusei, Haruto, and Saori.

On December 1, 2025, former WACK Representative Director Watanabe Junnosuke announced that he would be starting a “Second Chapter” of WACK and disbanding BiTE A SHOCK the following year. He also said that the members could either take part in WACK’s 2026 audition camp or leave the company entirely by 2027.

Weeks later, on December 21, the co-ed group formally announced their disbandment. In a statement, posted on their official website, BiTE A SHOCK revealed that they will disband on March 8, 2026, after their “FiNAL BiTE” live event. The solo concert will take place at Shibuya CLUB CRAWL in Tokyo, Japan.
