Miyama Ryoki is back in the spotlight after a new report accused the actor and singer of having an affair with one of his Crash Landing on You co-stars.

On July 22, Shukan Bunshun published a report alleging that Ryoki has been involved in a relationship with former Takarazuka top star Maria Kano, whom he appeared alongside in the stage adaptation of Crash Landing on You. The magazine described the alleged romance as a “forbidden love.”

The report has drawn significant attention as Ryoki announced his marriage to actress Shuri in August 2025. The couple also welcomed their first child the following month.

According to Shukan Bunshun, the pair grew close while performing together in Crash Landing on You. The publication claimed they met privately on several occasions during the musical’s run, including after the show’s opening-night performance.

The magazine alleged that on the night of July 12, the cast gathered for dinner following the opening performance in Tokyo. After 11 PM, five people were reportedly seen outside a yakiniku restaurant in Shinjuku’s Okubo area, which is known for its many Korean restaurants.
During the dinner, the publication claimed Maria Kano, who was wearing a light blue sleeveless dress, said, “When I like someone, I want to start dating them straight away.” The report also alleged that Ryoki, who the magazine identified as wearing a Versace shirt, looked at her affectionately from across the table.
Shukan Bunshun further claimed that the pair continued to meet in private after the dinner and alleged there were repeated overnight absences, leading to speculation that they were in a relationship.
