On his YouTube channel Wearcle, criticism persists, and individuals claiming to be his former classmates have surfaced, raising allegations of school violence.
As past videos of Park We have been resurfaced and his past social media posts and remarks scrutinized, some people claiming to be his classmates have commented on his school days. They alleged, “We are classmates from Yongsan High School. There were rumors that he returned to school after being released from a juvenile detention center.”
Another person accused him of inflicting injuries that required four weeks of medical treatment during his second year of high school, implying school bullying.
The credibility of these claims is doubtful so far. Nonetheless, posts capturing these comments have rapidly spread across various online communities.
On the other hand, some people claiming to be his classmates denied these allegations, saying, “Park We is a classmate who was paralyzed from the neck down and we even visited him in the hospital at the time of the accident. He is a person completely unrelated to school violence or bullying.” They added, “About 40 Yongsan High classmates visited the hospital then. He is truly a positive and kind-hearted friend,” defending him.
The backlash has lasted nearly ten days, with malicious comments also targeting his wife Song Jieun, and the couple has voluntarily resigned as Seoul city promotional ambassadors.
