Openly gay K-Pop singer Holland recently opened up about homophobia in K-Pop, answering the question many LGBTQ+ fans have been asking for years.

Holland opened up about his eight years in the K-Pop industry during a Q&A on X, inviting fans to ask him anything. Fans didn’t waste the opportunity to find out more about Holland’s experiences in South Korean entertainment given his sexuality, with one asking, “Is there a lot of homophobia in the industry?”

Surprisingly, Holland revealed that there’s “almost none,” and that things are becoming more supportive in the industry over time.

Another fan pushed further, asking whether Holland has ever faced discrimination from any fellow K-Pop idols. In response, the star shared that he’s actually never been mistreated by his peers, bringing up a heartwarming experience befriending an unnamed male idol.
