Solar recently made a post on her Instagram, sharing a playful moment from Los Angeles. The problem?— In the video, she was dancing to “Look At Me Now,” a song by Chris Brown.
Given the criminal history of Brown, related mostly to violence against women, many K-Pop fans have started voicing their issues with artists associating with him in any form. The backlash evidently intensified after BTS members J-Hope and RM were seen publicly mingling with the singer after a recent concert.

When some netizens argued that Solar wouldn’t get the same backlash as BTS, fans fought back, pointing out that none of them were coddling her mistake and showing previous instances of her taking accountability after being called out on similar issues.
