Ha Suk-jin and Hani recognize Love on the Menu

It’s the last call for promos before KBS’s Love on the Menu is opened for business in the coming weekend. We thus take a moment with Ha Suk-jin (Siren’s Kiss) and Hani, a.k.a. Ahn Hee-yeon, (Call It Love) in the latest video teaser, pondering the often asked question of how do you know when it’s love.
As with most weekenders, our main two leads will not be the only ones finding romance in this tale and the trailer takes us through the signs of ~love~ between the different character relationships, including Kim Mu-jin (Ha Suk-jin) and Han Kyu-lim (Hani). And it’s almost a lesson in dramaland’s classic tropes, but they can definitely bring on all the swoons when they’re done well.
We start then with that sense of fate’s hand bringing two souls together in unexpected and sometimes wacky ways. Case in point, Kyu-lim’s divorced dad Ryu Seung-soo (Our Universe) inexplicably has his face in a dish and forms a connection with Jin Kyung (Notes from the Last Row) – though this may turn out to be a platonic pairing as she is also Mu-jin’s mom.
Our bickering couple is posed to be Kyu-lim’s sister Park Yoo-na (Spirit Fingers) and Kyu-lim’s bestie Bae Jung-nam (Spring Fever), who are bound to transition from frenemies to that (temporarily) awkward stage as their hearts start to flutter. All the while, Kyu-lim’s brother Bae Yoon-gyu (Climax) realizes he’s smitten when worrying over – and rescuing – Jung Bo-min (Last Summer).
The family drama also stars Min Jin-woong (Shin’s Project), Lee Joo-yeon (In Your Radiant Season), Yoon Yoo-sun (Reborn Rookie), and Kwon Hae-hyo (Mary Kills People) among other supporting cast.
Slated to premiere on July 25, production for KBS’s upcoming Love on the Menu has PD Hong Seok-gu (Queen’s House, Beauty and Mr. Romantic) directing and scripts by Lee Kyung-hee (Chocolate).
