The seeming lack of interest in HYBE x Geffen Records’ newest girl group, SAINT SATINE, has left many fans stunned given the agency’s popularity.

While HYBE groups are typically highly anticipated, fans have pointed out that the group’s posts get far less engagement than expected — comparable to acts outside the “Big 4.”

The low numbers come despite the group’s consistent activity on social media, with the members regularly posting ahead of their debut. HYBE x Geffen Records first announced plans for the group in August 2025, with Emily, Samara, and Lexie revealed as the first three members. All three previously competed in The Debut: Dream Academy, the survival show that formed KATSEYE.

Sakura became the fourth member in May 2026 after winning the Japanese audition show World Scout: The Final Piece. However, just two months later, Lexie shocked fans by departing the group, just as she had previously left The Debut: Dream Academy in 2023.

Since announcing Lexie’s departure in July 2026, HYBE x Geffen Records still hasn’t confirmed whether SAINT SATINE will debut as a trio or add a new member. The group was originally expected to debut in the second half of 2026, but with just two months left in the year, many fear the group is on indefinite standby.
