It is the group’s first tour.

Earlier this year, it was announced that CORTIS would embark on their first tour, Put Your Phone Down.

This will be the group’s first tour since their debut and is currently scheduled for six dates across North America after beginning in South Korea. The tour has already attracted attention for its ticketing method.

HYBE Idol Group’s New Tour Implements New Ticketing Process, Triggers Massive Response

On June 9, the pre-sale for the North American dates of the tour began, with fans who previously purchased the official fanclub membership able to access tickets.

Starting with the concert in New York, the group’s demand was shown, as over 424,000 people joined the queue for tickets.

This tour date’s presale has since sold out, with similar situations occurring in the other cities as well.

While this shows the demand for the group, it has also sparked backlash towards HYBE.

Across the venues, the largest appears to be Los Angeles, with a capacity of 6,026. In the case of New York, the venue seats 5,570, a far lower amount than the several hundred thousands that attempted to get tickets, a sign of HYBE “underestimating” the group.

Cortis could’ve sold out stadiums, and they decided to put them in these itty bitty rooms. Bighit count your days…

so hey these queue numbers are insane (not mine!!)

cortis could sell out a stadium what was bighit thinking… 😭 almost half a million oh okay pic.twitter.com/r1UhqTql3j

fuck the fact that the tour doesn’t include many stops, can we actually talk about how small the venues are for a queue of around 200k people? so fucking proud of corris, but even more fucking embarrassed by bighit

However, it has also been pointed out that there are numerous tickets already available for resale, with some appearing as soon as tickets went on sale.

@cortis_bighit @Ticketmaster Tried to buy Cortis tickets for Irving,TX and I got in Que at 2:30PM and at 3:00PM when I got in I was 76616 for a venue with only 8k seats and I immediately checked the resale sites and they were already listed at 3.01PM!!! pic.twitter.com/CplMwuLelk

there’s something genuinely fucking wrong when this many tickets are being RESOLD already for cortis when today is a FAN PRESALE only. mind you it’s 350 ticket listings. fuck you ticketmaster ! pic.twitter.com/UwF6J5LftM

With the group’s popularity, it is understandable why fans are upset with both BIGHIT/HYBE and Ticketmaster for the current situation.
