She even got kicked off TikTok for talking about death.

Lizzy, a former After School member-turned-actress and TikTok star, has sparked massive concern among K-Pop fans after candidly opening up about her struggles with depression.

During her latest live broadcast on January 28, 2026 (KST), Lizzy was seen hinting at self-harm/death by suicide, making unexpectedly alarming comments like, “I’ll try to live without dying. I’ll somehow try to stay alive.”

I wouldn’t have any regrets even if I died. Living is fine, not living is fine too. I have no attachment to life.

    — Lizzy

She showed signs of distress as she dealt with the “exposure” that comes with being a celebrity. In fact, at one point, Lizzy shocked the viewers by revealing that her “depression got so bad.”

Being a celebrity means your entire life is exposed… I chose this path because I’m someone who craves attention, but even if it’s not exactly regret, I end up blaming myself. I regret my actions a lot and constantly criticize myself. That’s why my depression is so severe.

My depression got so bad that I talked about life and death, and my account was suspended. I was suspended on TikTok for talking about those things, so I came to Instagram.

    — Lizzy

Lizzy then broke down in tears, repeating phrases that have since been flagged as deeply concerning. As she continued saying things like “I really want to die” and “Living or not living makes no difference,” fans responded in the comments with words of comfort and urged her to seek professional help.

People ask why someone would want to die when the world is such a good place, but for me, living is just too hard…

…It’s because I was trying to die. If I can make you laugh, that’s enough for me. Do you know why? Because I’m going to die soon.

    — Lizzy

Following the broadcast, Lizzy’s most recent social media posts are getting filled with messages of support and sympathy.

    • “Lizzy, hwaiting! Stay strong.”
    • “Please get through this time well.”
    • “Unnie, let’s stay strong together. ❤️ My life is painful too, but I believe that what I see isn’t everything.”
    • “I came here after seeing the news… Please never think strange or bad thoughts… Fans are cheering for you so much and are really worried. If there’s something hard you want to talk about, I can listen! Or it might be good to try counseling, too. If you don’t know what to do, I’ll look for ways together with you and help you. Let’s stay strong together and find a way. If we met, I’d really listen to you while drinking and make you laugh… My heart breaks for you.”
    • “I’m a fan who has supported you since your After School and Orange Caramel days. Whenever I listen to After School and Orange Caramel songs, each member’s individual charm stands out even more. I also enjoyed the trot solo song you released before, and I found it very charming back then, too. You always greet fans warmly in TikTok videos and live streams, and when you were happy after I told you I still listen to your songs, I ended up smiling along with you. Every time you share good stories, your words come across clearly, which makes me even happier. I hope you always cherish yourself the most, Lizzy. I’m always cheering for you. 🧡🍊”
    • “Don’t think bad things and just keep living. Lizzy, you’re beautiful just the way you are.”
