In the video, IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung gave clear solutions and comfort to fans, known as “Nyeongdungies,” who sent in their concerns.
To a fan who said, “I feel upset because I gain weight even though I eat meals with my family and don’t eat separate snacks,” Jang Wonyoung responded, “I think our cute Nyeongdungie is too focused on her external appearance right now, so it’s 99.9% possible that she only sees herself that way.”
She added warmly, “To my eyes, Nyeongdungie must be very pretty and cute. I hope you love yourself more, telling yourself ‘I’m beautiful just as I am,’ and care for the reflection in the mirror with more love. If you still don’t feel better after that, come back again.”
Another fan asked, “Don’t unfair situations happen sometimes that you just can’t explain with words? How do you handle those moments without breaking down, Wonyoung?”
Jang Wonyoung replied, “This is a very true statement that I believe everyone can relate to. But I always hope you remember that I’m on your side first and foremost when unfair things happen. The truth will eventually come out; it’s just a matter of time. In the end, luck will be on Nyeongdungie’s side.”
Meanwhile, Jang Wonyoung recently became embroiled in a series of false accusation controversies. In January, she was falsely accused of being late to a clothing brand launch event she attended. In fact, she had arrived early and was waiting, but the confusion arose because the photo call wasn’t managed smoothly.
Last month, she was criticized as being rude after crossing her arms for about five seconds while listening to an official at IVE’s popup store in an amusement park. However, most netizens felt the criticism toward Jang Wonyoung was excessive, calling the false accusations “way too harsh” and expressing disbelief.
