Jo Jung-suk, Park Hae-soo, Soo-hyun
- Production has officially been announced on Netflix for Paper Man (working title), lining up Jo Jung-seok (Captivating the King), Park Hae-soo (The Scarecrow), and Soo-hyun (Gyeongseong Creature 2) to headline the upcoming series. Swindling our leads in a black comedy and crime tale dealing with counterfeit money, the team has filmmaker/PD Lee Il-hyung (Karma, Remember) at the helm. [MBC, Sports Donga]
- KBS has confirmed casting for a restaurateur Ha Suk-jin (Siren’s Kiss) and banchan shop employee Hani (Call It Love) in the family drama Love Is Coming (roughly translated). With scripts notably penned by Lee Kyung-hee (Chocolate) and PD Hong Seok-gu (Queen’s House, Beauty and Mr. Romantic) directing, the weekender is expected to broadcast sometime next month, following Recipe for Love in mid-July. Ha Suk-jin, Hani
- A new sitcom called Palace Land (roughly translated) is in the works on tvN, centered around a group of part-time staff at the titular theme park who also happen to live together at the park-owned dorm facilities. Currently in the early stages, PD Yoo Hak-chan (Top Star Yoo Baek) is leading production, which has figure skater and former child actor Cha Jun-hwan (Return of Iljimae) reviewing an offer to join the ensemble cast. - Preparations are also underway for the new office rom-com Please Protect Me (roughly translated), reportedly pairing Bae In-hyuk (Our Universe) with Kang Mina (If Wishes Could Kill). With Bae up to play a wary chaebol, Kang is said to be taking a turn as an undercover cop posing as his secretary. The webtoon-adaptation has PD Oh Hyun-jong (Doctor Slump, Find Me in Your Memory) attached to direct, alongside writing by Lee Yong-jo. [My Daily]
- On JTBC, the first poster for Apartment has dropped with our hero Ji Sung (The Judge Returns) seated center stage. Also starring Ha Yoon-kyung (Undercover Miss Hong), Park Byung-eun (Dear Hongrang), and Moon Sori (When Life Gives You Tangerines), the mystery-thriller is slated to premiere on July 11 and will follow Reborn Rookie in the weekend slot.
