Singer Jang Hyunseung, formerly of the group BEAST, decisively addressed past controversies regarding his attitude at fan sign events.
On the 16th, a video titled Jang Hyunseung Has Changed “Jang Hyun Seung A/S Fan Signing Event Episode 2” was uploaded to YouTube.
In the video, Jang Hyunseung listens to fan stories about the previous attitude controversy at fan signings, explains his side, and offers an apology.
That day, Jang Hyun Seung invited 100 fans to a fan signing event, personally preparing photocards and Dubai sticky cookies at his own expense as gifts for the fans.
In the video, a fan shared, “I went to the fan signing two days in a row. On the first day, I asked, ‘Oppa, what’s your favorite breakfast menu?’ and he replied, ‘I like soup dishes,’ and that was it. The next day, I asked the same question and said, ‘I had soup for breakfast today,’ but as soon as I finished, he said, ‘I don’t like heavy soup; I prefer sandwiches.’”
The fan urged Jang Hyunseung, “When answering questions, please take some time to think. Answers shouldn’t change within 24 hours.”
Besides this, Jang Hyun Seung fulfilled other requests such as “smiling kindly while explaining” and “making eye contact with fans while speaking.”
He also engaged in conversations while making eye contact with fans, sparked cheers by doing challenges.
Additionally, he read handwritten letters to the fans and showed his changed attitude by inscribing the names of attending fans on a banner.
