Kim Hye-joon must choose between My Bias, My Boss

Replacing her guns with a light stick, Kim Hye-joon (A Shop for Killers 2) showcases the power of fangirling in tvN’s newest romantic comedy My Bias, My Boss. Co-starring Kang Hoon (Hunter with a Scalpel) as the titular boss and Cha Woo-min (Spirit Fingers) as the bias, the upcoming show puts our heroine in quite the lucky predicament as she must choose between her two leading men.
The latest teaser opens to a concert of K-pop idol group D.N.X., and in the crowd, a younger Nam Da-reum (Kim Hye-joon) is smitten with their center Lee Chan (Cha Woo-min). Since the group’s disbandment, Chan has moved onto a different career in fashion, and an interview reveals his opinion on the matter: “Stiff and normalized fashion is boring.”
Following her bias’s footsteps, Da-reum gets hired at the company where Chan works, but her first day winds up a disaster. For our starry-eyed heroine who believes love is like an unpredictable car crash, she bumps into CEO Kang Ha-ki (Kang Hoon) of all people, and rumors of her “huge accident” swirl around the office.
When Ha-ki asks Da-reum why she joined his company Appello, she says that she is looking for what she truly likes, but the ginormous photo of Chan in the back seat tells a different story. When Da-reum gets to meet her bias at work, she can barely contain her excitement before jumping around the lobby, treasuring the hand that just shook Chan’s. However, love turns out to be unpredictable like Da-reum said since the one who makes her heart thump isn’t just Chan.
As Ha-ki starts to notice his new employee, even Chan comments on his change in behavior, but neither Da-reum nor Ha-ki want to acknowledge what’s happening between them. While Da-reum’s heart flutters for both her boss and her bias, will Ha-ki finally realize his feelings or will Chan swoop in and beat him to the punch?
Co-directed by PD Park Ji-hyun and PD Jung Da-hyung with scripts penned by Lee Young (Siren’s Kiss) and Kim Ji-ahn, the webtoon adaptation is slated for twelve episodes and premieres August 3 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
