According to JoongAng Ilbo, police received a tip on June 15 that a man had consumed alcohol and dined at a bar in Seoul and left without settling the bill.
Officers tracked down the 34-year-old, not yet identified publicly, around midnight and administered a breathalyzer test. His blood alcohol content came back at a license suspension level, between 0.03% and 0.08%.
As for the unpaid bill, the actor claimed he simply “forgot to pay” and later settled the amount.
The actor has been appearing in minor film roles since 2015 and runs a YouTube channel averaging around 200,000 views per video. He also reportedly appears on “Excel broadcasts,” a format where viewers are ranked by how much they donate to the stream.
He has since been formally booked under South Korea’s Road Traffic Act for drunk driving. No arrest has been confirmed.
