The Iron Squad W cast member Kwak Seon Hee revealed wedding photos in New York with her same-sex partner.
On the 3rd, Kwak posted multiple photos on her Instagram account with the caption, “Can’t help but fall for you.”
The photos show the two walking side by side on the streets of New York, smiling together in matching white shirts, and sharing natural skinship in comfortable sportswear. This everyday couple vibe contrasts with previously shared wedding dress and tuxedo shots.
The concept of the photoshoot was also unique. It incorporated her identity as a marathoner, pairing a veil with workout clothes and posing with marathon finish medals. Rather than a typical wedding shoot, the images told their own story, adding deeper meaning.
Kwak, a former second lieutenant of the 53rd Infantry Division Reserve, made a strong impression as a member of the army team on last year’s The Iron Squad W. Since discharge, she has expanded her activities as a model and marathoner, keeping fans updated.
Last year, she came out by publicly revealing her same-sex partner through social media and YouTube. She shared, “We first met at a bakery, and her smiling face was so beautiful,” while her partner expressed pride and affection, saying, “I’m proud and honored to be the woman Seon Hee chose.”
Kwak also clarified, “I appeared on the program as a soldier, not to find a woman.”
Currently, the couple is registered as domestic partners due to legal restrictions on same-sex marriage in Korea, but they reportedly took marriage vows in New York last November.
